Don't Forget Your Marriage License!

Obtaining a marriage license is quite easy and in San Luis Obispo County you may appear at the courthouse in Atascadero or San Luis Obispo to begin the process. Simply follow these guidelines from the County Clerk-Recorder. Stacy is proud to serve the LGBTQ+ community.  Your marriage license is a separate fee that is paid to the county of issuance and is not included in your officiant pricing. In San Luis Obispo County you also have the option of applying for two types of licenses: Public or Confidential. Regardless of what type of marriage license you choose to apply for, Stacy is happy to accommodate any couple who would prefer a confidentiality agreement be signed to protect your privacy.

About Pricing

Many hours of preparation go into a Life-Cylce Celebrant® ceremony. 

 

Stacy has structured her ceremony pricing to be ALL INCLUSIVE.  This means the ceremony creation process is not approached as an a la carte menu.  Stacy does not wish you to treat this most important transitional event in your life that way either. 

 

Unlike other officiants who show up and say the same thing over and over again for each wedding changing only the names of the people involved, Stacy sits down with you (in person or via phone or skype) and gets to know you. Stacy works to understand who you are and what type of ceremony you want. 

 

After meeting, Stacy spends many hours researching, writing, creating ritual elements, further interviewing, and editing.  She then presents what has been created for you well in advance of your ceremony date.  You can discuss what you like and don’t like about this first draft. 

 

There is no limit to the number of drafts and no requirement for you to utilize or not utilize any element of a ‘traditional’ wedding.

 

YOU are in complete control over what is said and done on your special day!

 

Included with the price of your Life-Cycle Celebrant® ceremony:

  • A no-obligation initial interview (usually about an hour).

 

  • Unlimited drafts of your completely customized, unique, and meaningful ceremony script.

 

  • the creation of any ritual element you wish to include

 

  • Writing of vows or helping you write your own.

 

  • Any necessary research on traditions, rituals, or customs you resonate with.

 

  • Facilitating the planned ceremony rehearsal.

 

  • Coordinating with your other ceremony professionals such as venue or event planners, musicians and DJs, photographers, etc.

 

  • Showing up early the day of the ceremony and professionally officiating your ceremony.

 

  • The care and proper execution of the legal documents you have obtained (your license!).

 

  • Presenting you with an artfully bound printed keepsake copy of your ceremony script.

You receive all of this PLUS

A professionally trained officiant with over fifteen years experience for far less than you are going to pay any of your other wedding service vendors.  Wedding officiants are not all created equal…in fact very few have actually received any type of education on how to create or officiate a ceremony and fewer still have received the kind of college-level training that the Celebrant Foundation & Institute provides which includes specific education on symbolism, ritual, and ceremony structure, as well as public speaking!

Stacy’s ALL INCLUSIVE PRICING depends on many factors and therefore Stacy must reserve the right to quote you a specific price based on all variables after the consultation. Here are the “BASICS” of Stacy’s Wedding Ceremony and Vow Renewal pricing structure.

 

NOTE: your marriage license is NOT included in these prices– you must obtain the license from the California county of your choice at the price charged by them for that document and all applicable filing fees.

  • More then 50 guests $400.00 to $600.00

    Within the 5 Cities (Grover Beach, Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Shell Beach, Oceano)

  • More than 50 guests $450.00 to $650.00

    In Avila Beach or San Luis Obispo

  • More than 30 guests $500.00 to $800.00

    In Paso Robles, Atascadero, Cambria

  • Between 6 to 30 guests $300.00 to $375.00

    Within the 5 Cities (Grover Beach, Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Shell Beach, Oceano)

  • Between 6 to 30 guests $350.00 to $425.00

    In San Luis Obispo county (less than 40 mile drive)

  • North Santa Barbara County $400.00 to $800.00

    Less then 40 mile drive any number of guests

  • Elopement $300.00 to $350.00

    Less than 6 guests. Within the 5 Cities and select other areas (NOTE: unlimited ceremony script revisions not available with this option)
